I suspect it's impossible to capture the Discovery Lodge trip in words, but I'll try. To start with, the paddling is fantastic. There is wildlife everywhere and phenomenal learning opportunities in the currents through Surge Narrows. Now add in two incredible guides, each amazing in their own way, but absolutely magic when working together. I learned more from those two in 5 days than in years of previous paddling. And Cheff Izzy's meals were fabulous every single day. Now comes the hard part: how do you articulate the Power of a place? There is something indescribable in the land and water of the We Wai Kai. It is healing, and humbling, and I was constantly compelled to sit in the stillness and just take it in. It was transformative for me, and I left with overwhelming and continuing gratitude for the experience; it was so much more than paddling.

Our second adventure with Norm Hann Expeditions was nothing short of exceptional. This stand-up paddle surf camp exceeded our already high expectations, with top-notch guiding, incredible food, and a genuinely great group of people. Norm and Chris did an outstanding job tailoring the experience to a wide range of skill levels. Whether you were newer to paddle surfing or more experienced, everyone felt supported, challenged, and able to make real progress on the water. It’s not easy to strike that balance, but they made it look effortless. Beyond the paddling, the atmosphere they created brought people together in a really special way. We left not only with improved skills, but also with new friendships and lasting memories. I would highly recommend Norm and the team to anyone looking for a unique, well-run, and truly memorable adventure. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

This was my first surf camp with Norm, the camp exceeded all of my expectations. Norm and Chris’s coaching helped me progress to the next level of my surfing journey. Safety was paramount for Norm and Chris as we had a couple of big storms come in. Rancho and chef Jenny were fantastic. Met some amazing people on this trip. I highly recommend this camp if you want to progress your sup surfing skills.

Hands down the best paddle trip I’ve been part of. Beginning to end it went off smoothly. I have nothing negative to say nor any constructive criticism. 5/5 stars.

This was hands down the best adventure trip I've ever been on. Norm and his team were top notch. We spent 5 days stand up paddling down the Yukon river and it blew my expectations away. Between the paddling, camping, wildlife, food, etc, it was everything you could ask for. Do yourself a favor and book one of these trips!
