About your trip

Located on the North East corner of Quadra Island, Octopus Island Marine Park is an island paddling paradise providing sheltered waters that begs to be explored by standup paddleboard. Starting at the spectacular Surge Narrows Marine park, our paddling route will take you through several areas that offer clear, nutrient rich waters and an abundance of marine life. This is a great introductory overnight sup camping trip where you will build your sup touring skills, ocean safety and awareness and multi day paddling experience.

Who is this trip for?

This is a great introductory trip if you are looking to build your sup touring and overnight sup camping skills. This is not a learn to sup trip and you need flatwater paddling experience before signing up. This tour will provide you with the experience you will need to take on bigger coastal trips with Norm Hann Expeditions. Areas of focus will include decision making, reading tides and currents, technical paddling skills, ocean safety, group travel and risk management.
